Red cabbage is one of the probiotic foods that provides good bacteria to our digestive system. Cabbages naturally have the bacteria’s with them. Cabbage juice is considered to be one of the cures for ulcers in the stomach. The glucosinolates present in cabbage helps to maintain the bacteria population in the digestive tract. It doesn’t allow to increase or decrease the no of bacterias. It maintains a balance.

Red cabbage is a vitamin K-rich food, and we know that vitamin K increases the amount of a specific protein required to maintain bone calcium, thus reducing the risk of osteoporosis. Cabbage contains sulphorafane, which has a potent anti-cancer property. A recent study proved that people who take more amount of cabbage are less prone to colon cancer. It also helps in preventing breast cancer and the reproductive organ cancer in most women.
