6 meals a day diet plan is having  six meals about the same size and low in fat to help keep calories under control. Meal frequency has been the subject of argument among nutrition experts for decades. The one thing about which almost everyone agrees on is that breakfast is essential. Eating a meal of complex carbohydrates, proteins, and healthy fats within an hour or so of rising can rev up your metabolism and give you fuel for an active day. Understanding our metabolism is very important to understand this whole concept.

Every time you bite down on a burger or your favorite pie, your body makes thousands of metabolic reactions in order to process the nutrients you’ve eaten. Calories from food and beverages are combined with oxygen and release the energy your body needs to function based on height, weight, age, and gender. You gain weight when you eat more calories than you burn, or burn fewer calories than you eat from either overconsuming or lacking physical activity.

Understanding the Metabolism

The 6 meals a day can lead to more hunger than the 3 meal program. Since our body is used to 3 meal a day, our body takes some time to change. Our body is used to the calories given every 3-4 hours a day but when you ate 6 times , you obviously feel hungry so quick.

When you eat at regular intervals, it may help you to stabilize your blood sugar levels and energy levels. But there is no exact proof available for their fat burning capacity.

Eating more often is not for everyone

Eat while Hunger strikes you

It’s not about the no of times

Whether you take 3 or 6 meals a day, for a better weight loss you must take your last meal of the day 3-4 hours before sleep. It reduces your fat deposits , a fully digested food before sleep is always supported by many nutritionists.
