5 Natural Remedies for preventing Grey Hair

Staying young is the common wish for everyone, there are various signs of aging like your skin will show some marks , your hair will turn grey. Your hair may be of any color like black, blonde or whatever but when it turns grey , it affects you more mentally. The reason behind the grey hair are like our hereditary, over stress, or too much of chemical exposure to your hair.

Today, there are numerous products on the market which are supposed to treat the graying or to stop it completely. But, although some of them are efficient, usually they are expensive and the worst part is that they contain synthetic chemicals which are extremely harmful. Here we see some of the natural remedies to change your grey hair to black.

Coconut oil & Lemon:

Coconut oil can provide positive effects for your hair as it can reduce protein loss in damaged hair, stimulate hair growth, moisturize dry hair, soften the hair and gives shiny look, etc. Lemon, on the other hand, is great for the hair due to the fact that it is abundant with vitamin C, and its content of phosphorus, vitamin B, and phytonutrients which have antioxidant properties.  Lemon is so effective for the hair that even doctors recommend it for prevention of white hair.

  • Take 50 ml of coconut oil mix with 2-3 tablespoons of lemon juice.
  • Apply the mixture on the washed hair, let it stay for 10-20 minutes.
  • Then wash them gently

This will help them get rid of your grey hair and also dandruff.

 Almond Oil and Lemon

Almond oil is extremely beneficial for hair as well. Massaging scalp and hair with almond oil prevents premature greying of hair. It nourishes the roots of the hair, improves elasticity and prevents split ends. It treats dandruff and adds a healthy glow to hair. Lemon is a rich source of vitamins B, C and phosphorus that promotes hair growth by supplying nourishment to the hair roots. It adds volume and shine to the hair strands.

  • Take 2 tablespoons of Almond oil mix it with 2-3 table spoons of lemon juice.
  • Apply the mixture on the washed hair, let it stay for 10-20 minutes.
  • Then wash them gently

Black Tea Massage

It is loaded with antioxidants and caffeine, black tea stimulates hair growth and improves strength and elasticity of the hair strands to prevent brittleness and breakage of hair. It adds a natural dark hue to hair and adds a natural shine to it.

  • Black Tea Powder – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – 1 Teaspoon

Boil 2 tablespoons of black tea and 1 teaspoon of salt in water for 2 minutes and remove from flame. Let it cool and strain the liquid. Wash your hair with this liquid and let it dry, don’t rinse with shampoo. Repeat it 2 to 3 times per week for best results.

Rosemary and sage mix

Rosemary works effectively in promoting hair growth and checks hair fall. It improves the pigmentation process of hair, thereby preventing premature hair greying.

  • Take 1/2 cup rosemary mix with 1/2 cup of sage,
  • Add dried rosemary and sage mix to 2 cups of water and start boiling the mixture. Boil it for 30 minutes and set it aside for 2 hours. Now, apply the mixture thoroughly on scalp and hair and leave until it dries completely. Wash off with a mild herbal shampoo. Repeat it 2 to 3 times per week to get dark, shining hair.

Amla – Indian Gooseberry

Amla or Indian gooseberry is one of the most effective home remedies for grey hair and has been used since ancient times in Ayurveda for treating all kinds of hair problems. Being a rich source of antioxidant vitamin C, it has amazing anti-aging properties and helps in preventing premature greying of hair.

  • Take 5-6 pieces of dried amla, powdered fenugreek seeds 1 tablespoon, coconut oil 1/2 cup
  • Mix them well,
  • Apply the mixture on the washed hair, let it stay for 10-20 minutes.
  • Then wash them gently
